From the north in Hokkaido to the south in Kyushu, the “Autumn Yamauta National Convention” attracts many participants from all over the country every year.
This song was originally sung while doing agricultural work in the wilderness of the region. The people prayed to the mountain god of Mount Mt. This song was arranged by the late folk songwriter Tomozu Goto and is loved by many people throughout the country as “Aki no Yamauta” and is still being sung.
The competition is held every Saturday and Sunday of the second week of November. Just like the surrounding mountains compete for autumn leaves, the participants compete for the throat, and the winners donate Yamauta to Mt.
