A city operated museum in the Maruhon Maki-Art Terrace building complex with cultural facilities such as a cultural hall and a museum. The permanent exhibition offers a comprehensive view of Ishinomaki’s history alongside works by Ishinomaki born sculptor, Eikichi Takahashi, and approximately 100,000 artifacts collected by Soshichiro Mori, former chairman of the Ishinomaki Shinkin Bank. Special exhibitions are held in the Special Exhibition Room three times a year.
