Boasting a history of over 1,200 years, the temple Konpo-ji is located at the summit of Mount Mui, the ninth stop on the Oshu 33 Kannon Pilgrimage. Here, not only local parishioners but also tourists from the general public can experience the Buddhist practices of zazen meditation and shakyo (sutra copying). Advance reservation is required; please contact the Wakuya Town Development Promotion Section Commerce and Tourism Group.
