Located inside the Kesennuma Port Umi no Ichi building, this is the world’s only aquarium where all the fish on display are frozen. At -20 degrees Celsius, the interior of the museum is like a different world. This exhibition focuses on fish caught in Kesennuma, displayed in ice pillars made using the commercial ice-making technology unique to a fishing port. Don’t miss the fantastic world of light and sound, which even incorporates projection mapping. Free rental of a warm winter coat is included in the admission fee, so there’s no need to worry about getting cold.
