In 2017, a project was launched to convert abandoned arable land in the Minamisanriku area into vineyards, with the aim of producing wines that pair perfectly with the abundant seafood of Minamisanriku. Production is scheduled to begin from 2020, once the winery in Minamisanriku is completed and the Minamisanriku grapes are at last ready for harvesting. Please come witness the moment when a new winery is born.
