Tamanoyu is a hot spring tucked away at the foot of the Tamayama Mine site, a historic mine which once produced large amounts of gold. It offers luxurious “gold leaf ice cream,” soft serve wrapped in real gold leaf. It is a new specialty of Tamanoyu and is said to bestow luck in financial matters when eaten. Its sister product is their gold dust ice cream, soft serve sprinkled with real gold dust. Give one a try after you’ve finished your bath.
