A third-sector railway running along the Sanriku Coast of Iwate Prefecture (between Sakari Station and Kuji Station). Affectionately known as “Santetsu,” it traverses the scenic Sanriku region. Although it suffered significant damage during the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake, it continues to run today as a symbol of reconstruction.
